The best pigmentation treatment & wrinkle treatment
Photo Aging is the premature aging of the skin which is caused because of increased exposure to UV radiation. This condition is different from chronological ageing. It takes place due to the damaging effects of UV rays altering normal skin structures. Photo Aging affects visible parts of the body which include your face, neck, and hands. Your lips can also show signs of excessive damage from the sun.
Photo Aging treatments for sun damaged skin includes Fillers as well as Chemical Peel procedures.
At The Skin Clinic, we use a combination of treatments for lightening the pigmentation. We customize the treatments according to the depth of the pigment deposit and the cause of the problem.
After evaluating the case and cause, superficial to medium depth peels are used and combined with laser toning and photo facials. We rotate this with non-ablative procedures to create numerous microscopic ‘holes’ in the skin. Drug delivery of skin boosters such as L-Ascorbic Acid, Niacinamide, and Glutathione is facilitated, to produce a visible lightening of pigmentation.

How many treatments will I have to undergo to see visible results?
For most cases, a minimum of 4 treatments 20 days apart is recommended.
However, for resistant and deeper pigmented lesions, more treatments are advised.
Are the procedures painful?
Not at all. There is a mild stinging sensation, which is very tolerable.
Is there any downtime?
The superficial treatments do not have any downtime. The deeper treatments have a day of minimal redness and swelling. Two days of good post procedure care is essential for a good peeling and easy ‘healing’ of skin for non-ablative treatments.
Is there any homecare regime that one has to follow post treatments?
A good moisturising sunscreen during the day and a skin nourishing cream with vitamins and antioxidants at night are essential to maintain results.
How long do the results last?
After undergoing a series of 4 treatments, if a good home regimen is maintained and undue sun exposure is avoided, results can be maintained for about a year. After this, repeat treatments are advised. Depending on environmental damage and other triggering factors, a suitable approach can be customised.
Are there any oral tablets that can help for lightening the skin?
I recommend oral Tranexamic acid for melasma. Oral glutathione is also available. However, I do not use it but prefer to inject glutathione locally.
Do you do IV glutathione?
Yes, we do favour this procedure.
